A slow personal computer should be history. In this day of innovations and technology, utilizing a slow computer will give you the idea of living through ancient times. It is for this reason that individual frequently find for ways to speed up their computers.

If you are on the same road, then you just came to right place. Its true that there are several ways involve in speeding up a PC. But then again, these effortless things are worth a try.

Here is some of the tweaking I did to speed up my Windows:

> Getting bored with the menu delays is really annoying. Decrease the time to load menu transitions through right clicking your desktop. Choose Properties and Choose the Effects tab. Unchoose the Animate windows menu lists. For Windows XP users, this can be done by right-clicking on the desktop, choosing Properties, choosing the Appearance tab, choosing the Effects option and uncheck Use the following transition effects for menus and tooltips, then Select OK.

> Speed up Windows Start Up by deleting out the softwares you dont need at start-up. For those who use Windows 98, this could be done by means of going to Start and clicking Run. Then enter MSConfig.exe and then choose OK. Hit the Start up tab then unmark the programs you want to stopthroughout the startup. As you see, you may be able to speed start up Windows if you cut down the softwares that PC needs to load.

> Defrag may be an old school process but it doesnt fail to help anyone who has speed problems. Look for the defragement option on the System Tools. Make sure that you give a time for defragging. Operating different programs as the same time as defragging confines the process itself.

> Prefering to install your software would be best if you always encounter script and other minor errors. Always scan your PC for viruses before backing up any files. Also, be sure that you have a back up copy of your harware drives before erasing files from your hard drvies Reinstalling your application could run for as long as an hour or more.

> Removing programs that you do not use. Software, even if you are utilizing them or not, take up space in your hard disk. If you arent utilizing them, then is there still a need to keep them? computer repair tutorials
